Rachel Parent vs Heartless Automaton

The simple truth revealed in 14year old Rachel Parent's conversation with the heartless monster of a man (and sidekick) at the other end of the table in this video clearly shows us why youth is important.  Please watch this video twice and see how very clearly Rachel is right and how wrongly the greedy little man is wrong.  Watch how he repeatedly tries to speak with authority on things that are just simply incorrect.

Hooray for Rachel sticking to the facts while these two grown adults tried to gang up on her!!  And hooray for us if we are able to get these Automatons to start labeling their Frankenfoods.

GOOD, EVIL AND PERSPECTIVE

Hey Truckers,  Seems as if someone managed to illegally place their own business information on our blog page for their own personal gain :O(

Their are three facts of life that we know exist:

1) Good people (no matter how hard) try to do good things

Fact 2) Bad people do bad things with no regard for morality or caring.  They have a tendency to hurt  others and destroy the environment.

Fact 3) Every living thing in this world has and expiration date (including all humans) and no one really knows what lay on the other side for the good or bad energy you create in your lifetime. But we know that energy changes it's form but never ceases to exist.

Oh yeah, there is a fourth fact of "The Cupcake Truck" having absolutely no afilliation with the food-driven .com website based in MN

Stay cool and be good truckers!

The magic of Bob Ross and his Afro!

With global warming, global pollution and a general sense of global indifference. There is no doubt that our world has dramatically changed these past few years.  Even with all the gloom and doom. Don't go dusting off your old Depeche Mode CD just yet because there is hope!

Bob Ross was showing us how to find and embrace our joy, just watch the passion in his eyes when he talks to us through the camera!   Painter, Prophet and owner of one magnificent Afro!

Here's to you Ross and PBS

Culinary Greed

Happy Saturday Truckers!

It's incredible how many bakeries are just concentrating on the fluff of their food product for fear of losing money.  Since real consumer health is not in fashion yet, most of the sweet shops blissfully tweet and blog about today's en vogue flavor or promotion while gently and knowingly leading it's trusting public over the gmo cliff of destruction.  Each day we eat these genetically manipulated seeds butters, foods is another day closer to who knows what inside of us.  If it was no risk there would be no law against labeling right?

The fact is that we need to know what we are eating and there is no possible way to trust anyone or anybody who declines to answer.  There seems to be an air of moral ambivalence sweeping across the land when it comes to the most pressing matters.

We refuse to get caught up in the fluff because good natural food is way to important.

Have a fantastic weekend.

Did someone say visual metaphor?

Baking is kinda like science, and the key to any good science is a provable equation.  With all the bad things happening around the world and even here at home, have a look at the vid to see how vibration creates structure. Now think of the structures that appear above as a particular ideology, code of ethics what have you, and the scattered salt as mankind.

The only way to get politicians (who we still believe to have human tendencies contrary to previous actions) to change the laws on labeling gmo foods is to collectively vibrate on the commonsense principle of we have the right to know what's in the food we purchase and eat!

Real simple in theory right?

Memorial Day: More than BBQ and a day off

Happy Monday all!

Let's keep Memorial day as a true day of rememberance and action for all those those who have lost their lives, limbs homes, medical benefits, etc to the circumstances of the horrible situation of war.

JFK may have left a little something out when he said to not ask what our country can do for us but what can we do for our country.

On the contrary, Their should always be good rapport and support from our country when we place ourselves or send others into harms way.

The real question is how can our country do more to preserve the honor, dignity, mental and financial health of those brave men and women who make the ultimate sacrifice for the defense and ideals of our country.

Over the years we've baked for lot's of really good men and women in service and only want/hope that they be treated fairly for their service.

Even Nopoleon knew

"When small men attempt great enterprises, they always end by reducing them to the level of their mediocrity."  Nopoleon "Christine" Bonaparte

In other words,
selling and releasing unlabeled Genetically engineered seeds/animals etc into the worlds food and eco systems without researching hazards will only end up messing things up really badly for planet and the good people who place trust in those who govern them.

If you care about your health or your child's health or the general health of the planet then do your own research and go from there.

Earth Day, responsibilities & broken campaign promises.

Unlike other bakeries, we'd rather inform you that the titanic is sinking instead of trying to get those last few dollars to close a sale before you feel the icy cold rush of sea water hit your back!

There was a promise in 2008 to label Genetically Modified Foods so people could be informed to what they ate.  Unfortunately, something pretty awful was signed into law that is pretty bad for humanity and earth itself.

The utter lack of transparency makes you feel as if there is something they would like to hide?

All these other cupcake, cake cookie and food shops care more about making a profit than your well being.  Tweets and blogs speak about today's cutie cake muffin top masterpiece and so on.

Earth day, organic natural labeling will become a complete farce if we don't repeal the monsanto protection act that was passed.

Common sense policy would make any fair minded person see the dangers to humanity and earth life!

Cupcakes, Common sense & The hubris of men

Seems like the last few decades or so of environmental pillaging and plundering by those who relentlessly strive to add another dollar to their revenue stream has finally given mother Earth some serious indigestion!

Our "leaders" (corporate, political and even religious) are not as smart as they may tell themselves they are, so it's up to good people who care about the city, state, country, world they live in and become the conscience for those without, demanding that they apply commonsense to whatever project/law they implement into society.

Who are the geniuses who created nuclear energy knowing the risks devastatingly outweigh the monetary rewards.

If you search how many poorly maintained or abandoned radioactive toxic waste dump sites there are that are connected to our waterways, it could or should make you cry

As caring people whole love to bake, we never strive for the absolute neurotically perfect proportioned product. Nope, we let the nature of the simple and natural ingredients we use dictate the outcome, that's why our cakes and frostings taste like your very best grandmother (who just won the mega lottery) coming to visit her favorite grandson/daughter.

There are a lot of things happening today that could have easily been avoided.  But, since we are where we are, we will do the best WE can because WE care.

Stay sweet!

Remembering a dear friend and beautiful spirit!

It's been a year now since our dear friend Aaron Ingram departed to that big bakery in the sky, so we wanted to give everyone a shout to let you know that life is what you bake it!

And even though he wasn't much of a cook, everything he made tasted delicious!!

What a game!

Hey, Truckers. That was some game yesterday wasn't it? Such determination, incredible athleticism and the best halftime show. Frankly, we think this year’s performances were just the cutest ever!  Can’t wait to catch next year’s Puppy Bowl and Kitty Halftime Show!

We hope everyone enjoyed whatever game they tuned into yesterday. For us it was Animal Planet’s "Puppy Bowl" but for others it was probably the bird team versus the niners. In our opinion, nothing beats a puppy-hedgehog-kitty-hamster matchup (not even the coolest commercials, best party grub or $50 bet winnings) and we can’t wait for next February.

No parking today. Stay warm out there

Happy Friday, Cupcake Truckers! You made it and the weekend is just hours away. Can't you just taste how sweet it is?

The Truck isn't out today but we'll be back on the street very soon with the fantastic goodies you love. By the way, did you manage to snag one of those Red Velvet cookie sandwiches? Mmmm mmm! Don't worry. We'll be sure to bring some more with us next time we're out. So come back daily for more updates.
